====== Splitting (Core Feature) (Ex) ======
(Direct Quotes from Discord Chat)
A single split takes a full round action with a long rest cooldown, and every single one is just as good as the prime. Newly split must long rest before splitting themselves.

One of them is the "prime" and has full player control. They control 2 as cohorts at level five, 3 at level ten, and 5 at level fifteen. They can give orders to a number of clones equal to twice their level, and the rest behave like summons or followers as per Leadership.
==== Class Skills ====
The Fragmented's class skills are Climb (Str), Craft (Int), Handle Animal (Cha), Jump (Str), Listen (Wis), Profession (Wis), Ride (Dex), Search (Int), Spot (Wis), Swim (Str), and Use Rope (Dex)

As they level up, they gain access to Precepts that alter what the swarm can do. There are twelve such Precepts, but they gain only one every 3 levels, meaning one swarm can only ever have eight of them - six per level up, and two awarded as a capstone at level twenty.
'''Skill Points at 1st Level''': (2 + Int modifier) × 4

No equipment is copied during a split.
'''Skill Points at Each Additional Level''': 2 + Int modifier
==== Class Features ====
All of the following are class features of the Fragmented.

'''Weapon and Armor Proficiency''': A Fragmented is proficient with all simple weapons, light armor, and no shields.

Hmm... Precept idea:
'''Split (Ex)''': As a full round action, the Fragmented can divide themself into two Drones. All Drones have the same base Attribute scores, Class levels, and Feats at the time of creation. When the Fragmented levels up, all Drones gain the same Feats and levels. Equipment and status effects are not duplicated. Every Drone of a Fragmented can Split once a day, and newly created Drones cannot Split until they have long rested. When a drone splits, they can redistribute any equipment they have on them as desired between the two resulting Drones. Any container items (backpacks, bags of holding, etc), must take all of their contents with them and will be treated as one item; any internal items cannot be separately distributed.

swap authority - allows the hive to change the primary body for player control to another body in the swarm
'''Drone''': All members of the Fragmented are equal, but some are more equal than others. Every body of the fragmented is a Drone. Among the Drones, a single designated Drone is the Primary, controlled and is controlled by the Player as a normal character. Any Drone can be the Primary, and the designation can be swapped from the current Primary to any other adjacent Drone as a standard action. If the current Primary dies, the collective Fragmented dies. Transference of the role of Primary can also be done as part of a Split.

Monty — Yesterday at 11:40 PM
'''Associate Drone''': Not all can be commanded as one, at times delegation is needed. As a standard action, the Primary may designate an adjacent Drone as an Associate Drone. Associate Drones can be directed as a cohort by the Primary, and can direct other non Primary Drones. A Fragmented initially can have 1 Associate Drone, and is able to have 1 additional Associate Drone for every 5 levels they have in Fragmented.

If you check the original post, I was actually intending to have that be default!
'''Deviant Drone''': Though many voices can sing in harmony, voices of discord can sometimes spring from the masses. If a Fragmented splits and exceeds a number of Drones (including Primary and Associate Drones) equal to the square of the Fragmented's class level plus 2 [(Level + 2)^2], there is a chance the new Drone is a Deviant. The Fragmented rolls 1d100, and must roll greater than the ratio percentage of Deviants to non Deviant Drones. If Deviant Drones are created, they will act against the Fragmented and attempt to claim control of the Fragmented as a competing hive mind. If at any time the Deviant Drones successfully eliminate the Primary Drone, they gain control of the Fragmented and the DM takes control of the character.

Isakai — Yesterday at 11:40 PM
'''Collaboration''': We all lift together. While 2 or more Drones are within reach of each other, they are treated as having Alertness. In addition, they can share their all senses with other Drones within reach and if any Drones are casting spells or using Spell Like Abilities, they can use the location of another Drone within reach as the origin. As the Fragment gains levels, the reach of Collaboration increases to a radius of your level, rounded down to the nearest 5.

Oh sweet!
'''Precept''': At level X, the Fragment chooses one of the following Precepts to gain. The Fragment gains additional Precepts every Y levels.

Missed that bit

Perhaps at first it had to be via touch, but a precept could increase the range

Precepts allow the swarm to do things like:

Behave like a Swarm (enemy type)

Merging in various ways

Specialize for certain roles within the swarm, thus granting more than just a zerg rush of peasants

Split more often and in different ways.

Imitate other beings or otherwise modify the perceived state of drones or the whole swarm.

Better manage Swarm Deviancy (more on this later)

And then there's Swarm Deviancy. Once you reach a number of drones in your swarm (not counting Cohorts) greater than [ (LVL + 2)^2 ] your swarm starts to lose coherency, directives become confused and deviants may begin to form in place of once-good drones. Each split-cycle, there is a chance that the deviancy of the swarm may rise, which is expressed as the number of deviants in the swarm. The chance ''and'' percentage of new drones made deviant is equal to the percentage of deviants out of the total swarm. The Deviancy percentage of a swarm cannot go below 20% if the swarm is larger than the total allowed size for the controllers' level, but is zero otherwise.

''[''11:43 PM'']''

Precepts may be taken to more easily manage Swarm Deviancy. However by default, Deviants must be culled by good drones.

Precept: Specialization (Combat) - Can make Drones with 3/4 BAB instead of your own.

Precept: Skill Link - Clones within 5 feet can provide stacking Help to any skill check.

Deviants:
# I was thinking that it would change like a rival hive mind. So it'd change like the weather
# Worse Confusion
[Precept idea from Isa] Mage mimic: Choose one arcane or divine spellcasting class (adhering to any alignment restrictions of said class). For the purposes of UMD, and qualifying for feats, your split cohorts are treated as having a caster level in that class equal to their level.

Class Skills

The Fragmented's class skills are Climb (Str), Craft (Int), Handle Animal (Cha), Jump (Str), Listen (Wis), Profession (Wis), Ride (Dex), Search (Int), Spot (Wis), Swim (Str), and Use Rope (Dex)

Skill Points at 1st Level: (2 + Int modifier) × 4

Skill Points at Each Additional Level: 2 + Int modifier

Class Features

All of the following are class features of the Fragmented.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A Fragmented is proficient with all simple weapons, light armor, and no shields.

Split (Ex): As a full round action, the Fragmented can divide themself into two Drones.

Drone: All members of the Fragmented are equal, but some are more equal than others.

Associate Drone: Not all can be commanded as one, at times delegation is needed.

Deviant Drone: Though many voices can sing in harmony, voices of discord can sometimes spring from the masses.

Collaboration: We all lift together.
