Monster Slayer

"Then the holy weapon raised, the divine panoply flashed and glittered, and heaven trembled."

Herakon is a rarity in the Vorovian Pantheon, an unambiguously good god. He is always depicted as slaying some big dragon or monster and is often prayed to in vain when people are getting chased by a big monster. While he is listening for his name, he is often too preoccupied on other hunts trying to prevent more people from getting harmed so it's incredibly rare that he shows up for that. He's also not the brightest god at least in the opinion of others, obsessed with little than hunting big monsters and stopping evil wherever it is. Vorn and his Lady are subtle enough to always not be the biggest evil in the land and Herakon has some semblance of recognizing his power. Ixthagepis does well enough to keep himself hidden and always one step in front of Herakon so that he is always out of his grasp. Herakon is more concerned with the Night Serpent when he does appear. Charitable interpretations of the seasons of Vorovia is that Herakon usually can fend off Parassik long enough to drive him back for a little while. The reality is that he likely annoys the serpent enough to leave for a bit to recoup before blackening the skies early again for long winter nights. Herakon might be allied with Azexdrius if the latter could convince the former to let him out of the Eye but that has proven unsuccessful. Many cholars are also REALLY fond of Herakon for some reason although his clerics and enlightened devotees. will not ever say just letting off a coy smile and asking others to reflect on why that might be and figure that out for themselves. With the general populous he is lauded as a hero god famous for slaying big monsters. Herakon wanders all over Vorovia often following behind Parassik. His holy symbol is a dragon head with a spear ran through it. He is Chaotic Good.
